SEAD - Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance is the “home base” and production address of the international touring company Bodhi project. The contemporary dance company was founded by Susan Quinn in 2008, and is currently in residence at SEAD in Salzburg as an independent repertory company. Since 2018, Bodhi project is part of the blackmountain non-profit organization, an association to promote contemporary dance and performance in Austria and abroad.

Bodhi project has built a reputation for embracing a range of different styles of contemporary dance, performed by outstanding young dancers at a key stage of their artistic development. The company gives them an invaluable insight into creating, rehearsing and touring work professionally.

Since 2008, more than 45 international choreographers have worked with Bodhi project. About 200 performances have taken place during the last eleven years - including countries like Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Croatia, England, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, England, Serbia, Sweden, Switzerland, Slovenia and Spain. Since 2016 the company also tours outside the European Union to Festivals in the USA, to South Africa, China and Israel.  Around 55 dancers from more than 20 countries were until now members of this exceptional dance company.
